Monday, June 29, 2026 – Pejo, Val di Sole

The curtain rose on 5 Days Italy this afternoon in the historic centre of Pejo, with the opening prologue: over 750 athletes took to the start line for the sprint race, designed to loosen the legs ahead of the intense week of racing that lies ahead.

In the elite categories, victory among the women went to Swedish-Italian Sofia Dell’Orto (Sundbybergs IK), while among the men the win was taken by Romanian Iacob Ioan (IOF Young Leaders Academy).

The prize-giving ceremony was attended by local authorities: the Mayor of Pejo, Luca Veneri; the Vice President of the Pejo Tourism Board, Alessandro Fantelli; and the President of Trentino Marketing, Giovanni Battaiola.

A special thank you goes to stage partner Olio della Valle for providing the prizes, and to Why Sport.

Ready to start with a bang? See you tomorrow morning for the first stage, at Passo del Tonale.
